FOOD, SNACKS, DRINKS: There will be water at the courts. There is Gatorade and soda, available for purchase in the tennis and pickleball shop. WEATHER and AIR QUALITY: Tahoe is famous for its beautiful summer weather but it's also fire season. But just in case we may need to make adjustments to times and formats if the weather/air quality impacts setup and/or play. Our plan is to do everything we can to play, and cancellation will be our last resort with the first consideration being the safety of everyone involved. We will do our best to communicate changes as soon as we can.
AIR Quality It’s as hard to predict the air quality as it is the weather, and as we all know, it changes daily. We’ll do our best to communicate as early as possible, but air quality can be an ever-changing situation, which may force us to make some decisions on the fly. Here are some general guidelines we’ll be using during the event. If the air quality falls between 101-150, the tournament will be held. If the air quality falls between 150-200, the tournament will likely be held, but a refund will be issued if you are in a sensitive group and wish to cancel. If air quality is over 201, the event will be canceled, and refunds will be issued. If the air quality for Incline Village goes past 150 but less than 200, we will continually access the current conditions and forecast to determine if the tournament will begin or continue. We will make a decision as early as possible before the start of the division. If at any time the air quality changes during the day, the event may be stopped or canceled. Purpleair.com has a sensor at the Incline Middle School and will be used for readings.
MISCELLANEOUS: Only participants, water bottles and towels, will be allowed on the courts. Bags must be hung on racks outside of the court. Franklin X-40 ball is the tournament ball. Medals will be awarded each day for completed events.
