League Information
Playing a match

Each match plus warm up must be completed within 90 minutes. You should start promptly so you can complete the match.

You are allowed 10 minutes for warm up.

The format is a 10-game match. First person or team to 10 games by 2 games wins.

If you are tied 10 games to 10 games then a 7 point tie breaker applies to determine the winner of the match.

If either the challenger or the opponent comes to the match 10 minutes late or more, based on the scheduled start time, that player or team will default unless the opposing team or player agrees to play the match.

Winning player receives 20 points while the losing player receives games won as their point total. (example: Michael Sample won 10-2. Michael receives 20 points. Don Jones lost 2-10. Don receives 2 points. If matches are defaulted the winner will only receive 10 points.
Weather-Related Issues

If the courts are closed due to rain, both parties/teams must find a time to make up match.

If it rains during a match, causing the match to be suspended, you must complete match at another time.

The score in the make-up would continue – e.g., you would pick up where you left off.
Championship Rounds

The top two players or teams in each division with the highest point total will play each other in a best of 3-set match using USTA rules on Saturday, September 10th. The schedule of each match will be provided in August in order for each player and team to plan accordingly. Please come to the courts to cheer on your friends and to enjoy refreshments. (If any of the top two singles players are also a member of the top two doubles teams, their doubles match will take place the following Saturday, September 17th.)

The match will have a 2 hour time limit. 7 point tie split in sets 1-2 and a 7-point tie break for set 3.
